Who is keen to ride another continent?
« on: January 28, 2010, 06:10:18 pm »
Ok so here is the deal: Its pretty lonely out here, and it would be great to have some of here on a ride. Speaking to some of you there is a lot if interest, it appears to be the dream of many to visit. So you might as well make a trip of it and see South America while you still have the chance.

Perhaps this world cup is a good time for you to get away from it all?....If we can get enough people interested Im sure we can arrange for a block flight booking and bring down the costs. The more that come the cheaper its going to be. You´ll be looking at between (EDIT: Check page 5 for latest cost estimate & itinerary ) for the trip depending on how long you want to be here, quite a bit (I know) but you´ll be staying in top hotels all expenses paid except booze & curious.

Bikes will be the ones you see Honda/KTM 450´s, 520´s and few 650´s or similar. Depending on the response I´ll take it further with my good mate Diego who does these things. Suggestions are welcome. There are about 25 bikes availible, if theyre all taken we should be able to work out a monster discount. :mwink: perhaps even 50%. Best time of the year for this is winter.

Look at these vids before you vote.

I'll definitely be interested - when is your winter and how many days does R 25 - R35K cover more or less?  I'm not too spinned on luxury accommodation.

Look, 35K I recon will give you 21 days everything in. We can/will do a cheaper option, if there is enough interest. So dont let the price freak you out! Lets 1st see how much interest we have.

Winter is the same as ours.

BB, that looks truly awesome and it is something that I have dreamt about for a long time. Just a question; would it be possible to accomodate a partner[my wife] on a trip like this or not?

Thats a very kak excuse. Book a 3 hour flight to Lima and we can take you on a quick trip on our spare bike. Its only going to cost you a couple of hundred dollars.

Just a question; would it be possible to accomodate a partner[my wife] on a trip like this or not?

Wives will not be a problem, especially if they ride too. If it´s one or two, they can go in the support vehicle, otherwise we can organise a second (suitable) vehicle for around USD75/day. Split that between 5 people and its a steal. It´ll also help on the hotel bookings, because the bigger the block the more discount you get.

Come on People!! - We suffer from procrastination. If you dont do it now, when are you going to do it?? This is your once in a lifetime opportunity. Trust me, I ride here, you dont get riding like this elsewhere. And Im not going to be here forever to get over the translation issues and help you organise this.

That looks like a great idea though, but I'm down to my last million.
