Have you checked the battery? New cluster is R3800.00.

Yes,I did. Replaced it just before the problem began. I also checked the battery connections - everything is fine.
I opened the cluster. There is rust inside but I cleaned it with ElectriQ.
I checked all the cluster connections, all looks right. Any other advice or does anyone know where I can find a second-hand one? The missus will moan if I buy a new one. Saving for a WEDDING!!!

Check the pcb where the rust is. Multimeter will come in handy. That is how I found the problem on my wife's cluster. Then just soldered a copper wire to bypass the problem.

I assume the actual filter only- not the prefilter? I may be interested - will check with my Aussie connection if he has already sourced my Unifilter

Anyone replaced a rear sprocket recently? Where did you get one? Bmw only has stock of the alluminium ones. 3 weeks to get a steel one.

I got a PBR from Bike stuff in CT (now they are closed tho i think.) , and one from waterworks (fidel on the forum) CT, but i think runner and adventureMX stock them too.
They are not bad, and price is much better than the alum ones. They do the 15t front too in PBR.
I've just gotten a AFAM one from the UK which i think is really good quality, but not available in SA me thinks.
Stealth sprockets are up in gauteng too:

"We do have stock in the STEALTH Tri-Metal For R690-00 & R120-00 fitment
Front sprocket R320-00 & R120-00 fitment
D.I.D. X-Ring chain R970-00
D.I.D. O-Ring chain R780-00

We are also running a special which gives you 10% discount for paying cash with free fitment.

Thanks for your enquiry.

Dakar sprocket works if you re-dril the holes they are cheap and freely available

I looked at doing that too, but was a little worried about any movement, cause the holes will be bigger than the bolts then. I know the main friction is with the hub, and not on the bolts, they just put the pressure on, but made me a little nervous.

Looked at doing the same thing. Did you drill new ones or drill the existing one's bigger (which is what I am thinking about)?
