nah just goes to show the versatility ........... smacks the sports bikes on tar and kicks the KTWannabees on dirt ......  :pot:  :ricky:

Hey Broer, careful with too much truth. The KTMers buy the bike for fantasy, you may shatter their fantasy when they realise they spent all that money on a bike without even a fuel gauge...
What the fark would i want to do with a fuel gauge?? Look where you are going not where the hell you must stop and have a lunch. Live the adventure and fark the the trinkets! That is what riding a KTM is about not the shit that adds no value to the experience!

Great idea. Vark the trinkets, vark the clothes. Lets wear animal skins and walk and carry clubs. Now I understand the KTM mentality  :pot: :imaposer:

Its a reactionary response to being overtaken by technology

New tegnology,........... With an engine thast was old tegnology 20 years ago already! :imaposer:

This thread should be changed to KTM VS BMW ? ?

(but we all know KTM wins )

 :laughing4: ;)

But the thread is damned funny isnt it?

Good to see the KTM bunch still have a sense of humour! I guess they must in order to avoid getting depressed whenever a BM rides by

They would see it as a step in the right direction... :pot:

Try it before you knock it, I've had both, what other bikes have you ridden? Or have you also been blindfolded by the BMW advertising system?

Actually, jokes aside, I considered a KTM. What tilted me against it was the spares issue and the comfort factor, and to some extent the more off-road bias of the KTM. I chose BM since I figured Im getting older, want comfort and will do more road travel. But eventually I saw that I prefer gravel and getting away from people.

I have a colleague at work also looking for a bike. He is more KTM biased, but he test rode a GSA and is now reconsidering.

Going by this thread, who is ahead in wit and humour? the BMers or KTMers?  :imaposer:

Hey TBK, why drag ole Jules in here, is it because he is actually in real life a BMW man?
What happened to the Katoom is something the BM ouens have only heard rumours of; TYRE SHREDDING POWER!!!!

Let me guess when you grow up/can afford, you're going to get yerself a KTM

Hoe klink daai? :thumleft:

So lets see, adventure is having no roadside assistance...

Are you implying having roadside assistance is adventure? :imaposer:

thank goodness I don't ride either.  >:D

+1000

Arrive on a KTM / BMW and everybody has preconceived ideas about the rider.

I arrive and I'm just a guy on a bike. Whether I stand / sit; whether my bike is clean / dirty - no matter.

Absolute Bliss!
