I'm sure this has been discussed numerous times - but I'm fast approaching the "cross road" of buying a new bike...it look slike if my AT will go tomorrow.
BMW it is - will it be the 1200GS or 800GS???
My riding "portfolio":
daily commuter when weather permits;weekend worrior when wife and 2 kiddies permits; love riding gravel roads when I can;don't enjoy the very technical stuff and thick sand; definately one long distance trip per year (70/30 - more gravel).
Any recommendations on my "dilemha". O yes - budget will allow for R100k, so I'll be looking at a good second hand buy.
1. my neighbour owns a 2007 silver 1200GS (1926km on clock and show room cond) - I can buy @ R95k
2. couple of 800's on Gumtree between R95k to R105k
