I did a quickie up to PTA and back this past weekend, the bike ran fine with no hiccups but.....

Just past Villiers, at dusk, on Friday evening the "General Warning light" and ABS came on. After a stop and physical brake check as well as reading the manual that states "its a warning", no sh!t, I carried on. 50km later my speedo also died. As it was dark and around Vosloorus I travelled all the way to PTA.

Saturday morning and I was at Bavarian, really speedy and efficient service, the PC said "check rear sensor" which the friendly techie did. He claimed "shavings!!!!!" on the magnetic sensor in the diff blocked the sensor. He cleaned it.

Sunday on the road back, this fix lasted 200km then all the same warnings again. 100km further I also lost the gear indicator....

SO obviously I am worried and will take the bike in sometime this week.
Have any of you GS gurus experienced or heard of this before?
