National MX and the day after...
« on: March 01, 2010, 07:56:38 am »
Some pics from our National this weekend... even after the 150mm of rain during the week and 25mm on Friday it turned out to be an awesome day on the track, initially a bit wet but later on the red soil came alive.

We had over MX 200 riders racing on Saturday with more than 40 vintage bikes/toppies as well! The crowd loved the old bikes! :thumleft:

I used to be indecisive, but I'm not so sure anymore

Ja, MSA deciding to make the Junior and Senior a one day event overtaxed our washbay's capacities plus the smartarses that tapped off the pits taps and sucked our main feed dry did not help the situation! But we have plans to improve that for the next one.
Any sponsors of water tanks will be welcome... they make very good advertising space! ;D
Personally I think there should be additional rules at a washday under muddy conditions, only the following may be cleaned;
Radiator
Numbers
Chains and sprockets/hubs
Brake rotors.
The rest stays like it is until the day's racing is done and if there is still water left! :patch:
This saves water which is an Environmental Issue! >:D
I am joking either... we are thinking of putting that in our next R&R.
The funny part was that one of the Vintage class riders washed a bike! They did it all old school! :thumleft:
