Muriwai - the black beach
« on: March 06, 2010, 04:23:52 am »
Went to do some beach riding this morning. Just to the north west of Auckland is Muriwai. They call it a black beach because of the fine volcanic sand that covers it. What a nuisance it is to clean ur bike after riding on this. It colours everything green and it's so fine it just goes in every where.
This trip did make me realise that my plug caps are not sealing very well and it gave me quite a nice shock  :D
Will need to replace.
I did about 25km down the beach and back. there were some thick patches here and there but at speed its not too bad. I was hoping to post some video, but there was so much salt in the air and subsequently the camera lens that its all a blurrr.
pics.

Well, this holiday is nearing it's end as I am close to solid broke. The only reason why I can do this for so long is because I have no commitments. I dont own a house/car (or pretty much anything) and I have no debt. On that note; Anyone have a job for me in June? will work for petrol and food.
