Baviaanskloof - Some advice needed

Hi

I am planning to take the wife (and therefore the cage  )  through the Baviaanskloof  in a couple of weeks time and basically have left myself 1,5 - 2 days to do this, entering from the west (Uniondale). Could someone with some local knowledge perhaps assist with some advice iro the following:

Ideal campspot (i.e. nice and also sort of half way through the place);
Other things to do?
Not to do?

Or is it completely unrealistic to enter early the one morning, sleep somewhere that evening and then get out the following afternoon in the east?
