Hi

Woke up this morning (hey, don't all blues songs start like that...?!) and London was covered in snow:

Working from home today, since the last time I tried riding on snow, I landed flat on my ass at the end of my street!

It dumped 20 to 30cm of snow by me here last night. Traffic was a bit challengeing this morning. I did not spot one motorbike or scooter on my way to work... I wonder why?

ride with your ski's on for sideways stability.. and ride with a grapple hook for stopping... easy!!!

My wife just arrived back at home - gave up trying to get to work. 1 inch of snow and the entire city grinds to a halt. London is a good example of a system that operates at maximum capacity all the time and, if anything, goes wrong it's chaos.

Driving in snow can be very tricky. When I lived in Ireland a few years ago, there was this intersection that was notorious for accidents waiting to happen. I used to go sit in the pub opposite the intersection and watch the action!!

Ag it wasn't so bad this morning, only took me 2 hours to get across London on my bike

My hands are frozen though :shock:

Same as Atlanta, any snow and the city grinds to a halt many because it warms up just enough to get the snow a bit watery and then it freezes overnight. And then the motorists still try to drive with a one car following distance.

Where in London do you live? It snowed once in the 2 years i was in London.

I live in Putney, south-west, close to Wimbledon. But it snowed everywhere. It's gone now, though - all melted!
