Sunday morning in Elliot and it is a beautiful day ! I decided to get Dogs Ramkat and Intabaman out for a bit of gravel riding but Intabaman says his 1150GS does not like bad dirt roads so we had to slab it to our new destination!
The original plan started the night before in the pub ! :
The EC Bash is coming up and at this moment in time I have to work at that time but I`m going to be doing my best to get the time off ! :deal: So the original plan was to go up the mountains to go tell our other biking friends about the bash, but that plan went out the window for some reason . . . . ???
I wanted to take the back roads to Langeni forests but as I said, Intabaman does not like so called bad dirt roads on his GS.
I think he loves that bike too much! 8)
So we deciced to slab it to Langeni . . . .
So any ways, I pulled in at our favourite Motion Lotion Outlet and waited for Ramkat and Intadaman.atch:

At last the Dogs arrive !
The bikes always draw the locals . . .
From the Motion Lotion outlet we slabbed it all the way to Ugie, at the stop street we turned right and slabbed it out towards Langeni ! Just before the pass there are two lookout points ! The first is on the left !

Then we moved a short distance down the road to the lookout point on the right, above the pass !

Then we went down the pass ! Please be careful at the bottom as the road comes to an abrupt end and you have to turn left and go past the Langeni Saw Mill, follow that road (watching out for deep potholes) and turn left at the junction. Follow the slab for a few km and keep a lookout on your left for the Langeni Dam ! :ricky:

Yip the guys are at the gate, even on a sunday !
There are fire places there and a lapa for throwing a party ! Did not see any ablutions so be warned if taking SWAMBO !
It is really a stunning venue! The Pondo Rally was held here recently . . . .

Then we decided to hit the road again. Heading back we stopped on the pass again to take a few more pics of this awesome piece of road !
I never knew that BMW had its own handbrake !ot:
From there we hit it back to Ugie to get Motion Lotion before they closed !
The sun was getting very low now and would be straight in out eyes, so we decided to hang around at the Prentjiesberg Dam in Ugie and have a cold one !
This was the last pic for the trip.
We waited for the sun to go behind the mountain, then high tailed it back to Elliot. When we got back it had just started getting dark ! I was so glad our timing worked out as it did because I was in time for the MotoGp ! :ricky:
Was good to see Rossi take the flag ! :thumleft:
It was a great days riding and I thank Ramkat and Intabaman for making the trip with me ! :thumleft:
