Yes, my old man still rides. He broke both his ankles in a crash 12 years ago and it took him a year or two to get back on two wheels.

I currently leave my old airhead at his house, so he rides it whenever he feels like it. We try and do at least a rally or two together each year.

Wow Mother, you are one lucky man!!! I lost my dad almost 20 years ago, so I am the dad now. My first trip with my son, 15, will be in the next few months. He will be on a Honda 230.

I really love going on trips with me dad.

Our next 'event' is the Pongola Cane Rally. He likes coming to the warmth of Zululand when it's freezing up in the Freestate. The difference between Harrismith and Pongola's winter climate is about as extreme as you can get. Roll on June...

Yes, my dad rides for sure, showed me the ropes since i was ten years old and he still rides today. Wish he was in CPT though to ride 2gether. I will have to plan a trip to the Northern Cape for that.

My dad still rides - he will be 83 years young this year. His favourite ride is a 1935 Sunbeam model 95. He recntly completed the Centenary run where the combined age of the rider and machine was 176 years!

Nope, but my Grandfather made a life of it - he used to race bikes in his early years, then, as long as I knew him, he worked in Jhb at Rubes  - they used to bring in all sorts of spares / parts for the British bikes - Norton, BSA, etc. Working with him in that shop on a Saturday morning is one of the best memories I have of him.

Yep, me and rooipoot have been to Baviaans, Die Hel, Middelpos (2x), Bonniedale, etc. Very blessed to have the chance to ride together and we enjoy it. 8)

It's probably my old man's fault that I'm riding today. He used to love riding 100cc 2 smokes. He owned Yamaha's and Suzuki's. He's not riding anymore, but he still tries to take my bike round the block once in a blue moon.

here is me and the old man on a old smoker

My Dad used to be a traffic cop way back when, he used to ride the 1012 harleys....!! He has passed on...

I neva in my wildest dreams thought I would ride a bike.... I often wonder what he would say about his crazy wild daughter today?  So I often share thoughts with him.... ;)
