BMW 1200 GSA 21" Front conversion?
« on: April 25, 2010, 08:40:42 pm »
I have recently returned from a trip to Namibia. I traveled extensively on dirt with a pillion and the bike was loaded with panniers and top box. I experienced wobbling fairly often in the loose gravel and sand but fortunately was lucky enough not to fall. My bike has the electronic 2008 suspension. I have read all the forums on the 21" conversion and this seems as a logical option to add to my travelling enjoyment. The forums mostly concentrate on the positives and the only negative appears to be the cost. The technicalities seem to be cut and dried............so to cut a long story short are there any downsides apart from the costs? I am 6ft 2 so the added height will be no problem, and by the way I like my BM ,the KTM is far better offroad but not the ans. esp for a pillion!

If you have cash like dassie kak then sure do the mod. A 21 inch wheel will not stop the whobbling front.
