Ag Sighmoan,

Hier, kry vir jou 'n virtual p%^sklap!
And sommer pass a few more onto your macho blue light MacMofia guards.
Don't fuck with the virtual chain gang. You’ll lose ‘cause they hit harder that you’ll understand.
As Jaco says,  Joe Public now has a digital voice, a moerse platform, is  greased with words and knows how to use them.
Ons is ook nie bang nie, want jy kan ons nie vang nie
I for one used to buy that publication but stopped a few years ago, cause it's simply kak.
Due to not having any real interest in Moto GP etc. and there being no other bike programs on the box I sometimes try to watch their program.
Maar slaat my dood met ‘n Huisgenoot dis sloppy gedoen.
They don't share any usable intelligent info about the products they feature. So now I've stopped watching.
For all the above reasons I have never and most definitely won't go to rallies. Not my scene. Was never into random vomit comets and egocentric agro wannabe Hardly Dangerous riders.
Following this thread and reading the scanned letter from Bark-but-no-BaaitSA has just confirmed my suspicions about that mag and what the people who produce it stand for.
Simon, kry vir jou ‘n greasy dubbel dik wikkel nool.
Ja ek tart jou en wat gaan jy daaraan doen?

Fokkit, Veldbrand... :imaposer:

Net so terloops, "p%^sklap" is nie meer polities korrek nie.

Die nuwe twerm is "vaginale treffer"

Ag Sighmoan, (etc.)

Chill bietjie daar Veldbrand. This is not a forum to go off like this at fellow bikers especialy someone who has done much more for biking than you ever will. Like KilRoy said it is not a place to start turf wars.

Sorry People, my previous attempt to apologize was not good enough.

To everybody I might have insulted in my first post on this thread, I launched a stupid and totally uncalled for attack on a whole bunch of people out there.
Please accept my humblest apologies.
I do believe it would be best and would appreciate it if the Mods could remove my comments as it will just escalate and cause more bad vibes and was totally incorrect.

Again sorry, and yes, Ill shut it for a while.
Cheers

I bought my 1st Bike SA in 1975 as the 1st edition and for many years I was a loyal follower, but for the last 15 odd years they have lost me. What I want to point out, however is the way critisizm of Bike SA has usually been handled, how a critic of Bike sa would be fleeced in the mag, at least one std
has remained constant. For Simon as an old fleecer of critics to now act in this way and to use the mag for that purpose, is inexcusable.
As ek jy was sou ek nie so gelyk het nie.

As an editor its unforgivable to get into a bun fight publicly over the content of your magazine or any criticism thereof. I do understand however that their publications are personal to them & are treated as fiercely protected offspring......SF earns his chirps....but he must suck up some other stuff as well :)

"So what is all the fuss about anyway?"

Simons letter was not really doing anything other than an attempting to reconcile. Id be pretty pissed off too if someone called me those names. Dont the rules of the forum say something about that anyway?

I guess we should learn to attack the issue or behavior rather than the person.  ::)

I bought the mag (and admit to buying it every once in a while). Best news EVA on page 13 - Bike SA TV canned for the rest of the year!
It's a friggin' motorcycle, it's not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The windnoise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you scared every now and then. Suck it up. -- Scary Gary Mc

Simon & son (and Bike SA) are true bikers. When we launched the BMW Motorcycle Magazine in SA they were the ONLY publication that published our press release. They did not need to do that and we did not pay for it.

I have have huge respect for the man and what he has done. Despite the criticisms it is the biggest selling bike mag in SA by a long short.
