My friend has just bought a Yammaha XT660R. He loves the bike, but tells me its not made for tar, and it gives him the freight of his life above 140km/h.
I took it for a spin, BOY OH BOY! From 120km/h it has a violant headshake, which just gets worse if you faster. It is brand new, just had its first service. He has good dual purpouse tyres on as well, no knbblies.
Must he fit a steering damper - I can't seem to find anything of the kind on the Internet, or must the head bearing be tightened?
Do dampers work for ADV riding?
