The same thing that everyone say's. Where is the adventure model. I was amazed how well they perform after chasing n[]va on his with my SE.
yea and I ride like a pussie !

they are befok bikes

I have owned a KTM 950, a KTM 200 ('04) and a KTM300 ('07)

and currently a KTM 990s ('07), KTM 690 ('09) and a KTM300 ('10)

Although they are all in different classes, for different purposes - The KTM 690 is the BEST bike I own
It is a PERFECT all-rounder
I can (to a degree) do what the 990 does and almost matches the 300 in it's purpose

I love my 690 !!!!!
I used to be indecisive, but I'm not so sure anymore

Flattery gets you......EVERYWHERE!

A pity you dont have reliability with the 690 as it was pretty impressive over the varied terrain we rode!

Doing a long weekend Lesotho type trip, with Sani type technical and maybe a bit more technical such as Kao, would you use the 690 or the 990?

Yes, but Moz is sand/technical. I would also endure the 690 on the long road to have the advantage in Moz over a 990.  But for the standard Lesotho ride which is not very technical? I think I would take the 990 if I had both.
