So, that time of the year again - first WFO and a record number of entries, I heard 300 was the number - WOW! And the venue was packed, cars and bikes everywhere. Sierra Ranch is a great place and lots of space - even with this number of entries it did not feel crowded.
I arrived there quite late, had some work in the morning and decided to do a quiet loop without getting in the way. What a great ride it was, the course was quite "tame" in WFO terms, but still dictaded some "wide awakeness" and respect.
Bit of a downhill (this is about 1/3 of the way down and the pic does not do justice to the angle)
Some mud :x
Some scenery 8)
Some rocks :?
Some bush
Some fighting (2 smoke :?: )
And my able support rider. Thanks broerie!
The mood afterwards was cheerful and everyone I spoke to really enjoyed the ride. Well done to the WFO club once again.
I have lost touch with the organisers since Gerry's departure, hope I can get closer to them again in future and assist in some small way.
