A good friend of mine read somewhere that every person once in their life has to sleep alone in the wilderness… for some reasons I cant remember exactly.

Other Friends of mine forgot about how important the rugby was and dropped out on a overnight hike i put together, on Friday afternoon… so I headed out to do my first solo hike.

And what better way to put the bike in the mix.

saturday morining i headed out to have lunch in Tulbach.

the locked gate to steenboksberg hut... after one passes through a guys farm... you get to a kloof that belongs to the MCSA because i am a proud member i can book out the key... the key that also opens the hut.




2km of overgrown jeep track to the hike start.



i park my bike and convert my drybag into a backpack using my tie downs.




some overgrown hiking trail... alot of water turned the hiking trail into streams.
