Amazing!  Please keep it up.  The scenery sure is great, but tackling those roads with the posties?  Respect!   :salute:

Glitch your a nut.

Who but an Aussie would do this sort of stuff?

(Maybe a Brit?)

Damn some of those places around Wee jasper look awful mate.
And speaking of bushfires...there was one that nearly took out Thredbo Village...right about the time that you were there?  That fuel tank causing some problems about then was it?

And wtf is that weird red bus with all the windows in it?

For the RSA readers...Cabramurra in the pics is the highest town in Australia.
Amazing how few Aussies ever go there, or even know about the place.
Great riding down the Snowy Mountains.
The Snowy and Tasmania must surely be the best riding in the whole country.

Great post Glitch. ( A pun there cobber :D )
It's not just a mode of transport, it's a fking adventure!

Lucky with Thredbo...the fires hit a few days later (hope it wasn't the sparks from the postie-footpegs on the way down from Deadhorse Gap that started the whole thing     )
Yo, the area around Wee Jasper...the whole area around Canberra way, really...is a SHOCKER. It's beyond bad
And about the "nut" bit   ...Went through the nearby State Forest last Saturday, again on those little things, and finished up riding around a huge pine plantation....on the firebreak-track between the pines and the native bush. Fark, that was fun...both hoops off the deck through the drainage ditches, pushing the last bits uphill after the motor conked out (some washouts were nearly mens-depth)....yeah, yeah I know...been told repeatedly that I'm too old for this shit, but Christ, it's FUN !!

Yeah, bloody tough
Wish I could come along for your ZA stint, too, it sounds great and reading the ride report here, looking at those pics, phewww.
Some other time...
Yep, the Alps it is. Including some stuff that's vitually unknown, like the Assietta Ridge Rd. in France, the road up the Mangart in Slovenia (old WW2 supply road to a gun-emplacement/ fort), some French-Italian border-crossings that really are more footpath than road, the Panoramica in the Northern Friuli region of Italy and a bucketload more of this stuff, all strung together by a billion bends and hairpins, it'll be a cracker.  :D
