You have got to love....
« on: June 30, 2010, 09:42:11 am »
...Cape Town weather.

Took the bike out this morning, sun shining and all is good. Half way into town I get drenched out of nowhere.....

Didn't even think to take a rain suit. My jeans resemble ass-less chaps at the moment (everything is wet besides my ass).

Fun times!  :thumleft:

You need to be prepared for all weather every day in CT. There are no exceptions.

Agreed.  Don't forget the Jhb weather as well.  Leaving Centurion, weather is fine.  Just past Midrand Johannesburg looks like crap.

I kill you last!   :D

To be honest I would rather be wet than wear my rain suit. I might have a k@k one but it is a pain in the ass to put on and take off with all the other gear.

(that and I look/feel like a twatwaffle/the Oros man....)

But you are right.... One should ALWAYS be prepared. You would think after living here for 11 years I would know that.

LOL
I also learnt the hard way.

The worst is... traveling all the way to work, and it starts pissing down 2 blocks from my office.
I'm too close to work to stop and put on rain gear - but those 2 blokes are enough to drench you totally.

LOL, wanted to greet him and see how a KTM boy falls off his ride when a fat oke on a 1200GS greets him but had to manoeuvre a bit to get in front of a truck.

Apologies. Very nice bike.

Maybe you shouldn't drive past the two blokes if they insist on drenching you
