Thinking of taking the family here for a week or so camping, I know its a National Parks reserve. Who`s been and whats it like?

Hi

Have you tried http://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/ there is a story on this park, Mainly because some Oz company got the right to prospect for coal here.

I have been there. Very nice. They have awesome routes to drive. No bikes allowed and 4x4 necessary for the routes to drive. I have some pics at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27824536@N00/sets/72157600168228260/

PM me for more detail.

Been there coupla times.  I like it.  It's fairly small but quite scenic.  Few people visit because it is a bit out of the way. Do spend time on getting the cultural history of the Mapungubwe settlement (google should throw up a lot), it is fascinating.  I visited before it became a park and walking around on top of the hill found some glass beads proving trade with China some 500 years ago...

For a 2-4 day visit it is ideal.
