I think everybody likes me? .....Goup hug :3some:
After all, I live in Cape Town.... group hug :3some:
and I ride a BMTrouble-U..........group hug :3some:

feel the Lurv, people... :imaposer:

Isn't Capetown the gay capital of South Africa??
Little too much hugging here......
Fugly, if you want some love and hugging just ask, sure they will share with you. :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer:

We are no better up here in Joburg ,dont let anybody bullsheeet you.

I see the same group of riders on the N1 between Centurion and Midrand every morning , and I never get greeted back, even though I always pull over for the bigger/braver lansplitters ???

In Gauteng if you pull over you show weakness and must be treated with distain.

Ok , then I am a weakling , no ways I am lanesplitting at the speed some of those 1200 riders are doing it ....

Sheet , life is too good , they can rather ignore me.....

Maybe I should just be using the  :middlefinger: finger then  >:D >:D >:D
Don't blame me for the name ....I was bullied into into it by J-Dog.....
"Change your name or ride a KTM"  he said , I changed my name !!!!

This topic is getting boring - why don't we rather start something on why BMW riders stand when riding - sometimes even on tar!
Life is tough - get a helmet!

I wave my ass of no matter what bike. Love to say "howzit" to like minded people on DS bikes. But matter of factly when I had my F800GS Bmw riders also didnt wave...  :pot:

Exactly - it's not like there are 5 million DS riders. I'm always happy to see another rider, and it's cool to say howzit. WTF man. <speechless>

I too like to greet my like minded "friends" on the road but one can not generalise like this.
If you want to be happy for a day..... Drink
If you want to be happy for a year..... Marry
If you want to be happy for the rest of your life..... Ride a BMW!!!

On one hand i can understand why some guys would say...."why the f%k should i keep waving at random blokes riding past on his/her bike"? personally i dont wave at every car that drives past when i am driving the cage..... but if i am on my bike i ALWAYS wave/nod/hoot/stick my foot out if i cant do anything else at the time.... its not just because i think that riding a bike is great fun and every day not on my bike is a day wasted. Its about the unspoken bond of the motorcycle fraternity brotherhood/family/friends/support group, or whatever you prefer to call it. When i ride past another bloke on his bike, i am not waving becaus i know him or think it might actually be a woman under that helmet and am trying to be suave/casually cool or such crap... its more of an acknowledgement of the unspoken truth that we are a part of a society that is set apart from the rest of the herd!!'  we stop to help if another bike is stuck on the side of the road, give lifts to total strangers carrying a helmet, offer to buy the beer to cheer you up after your BMW broke down in the middle of nowhere :pot:  etc etc

I know i am not explaining it very well, but for me i get that feeling of being very lucky to have a bike that i love parked in the garage, and when i ride out on any given day, and i see another bike coming past, i wave and think to myself that the freedom that comes with riding a bike cannot be understood by any man or woman driving a box, but only by the other rider who is waving back, and we would be happy to pull over and help each other out or go out of our way to see the other man right before riding off over the horizon...( damn.... this is starting to sound like a cheesey low budget western movie with bad music)

then again... i do find that harley riders dont wave back at me :eek7:
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

I dont 'have time' to wave at Harley riders, since when I see one, I am busy with my 10-point 'Zebra'-check:

1. is the bike actually moving?
2. is the rider looking at his/her reflection in a store-front window?
3. does the bike have rocking-horse-type tassles?
4. if it does, WHY?!  :imaposer:
5. are there any bug splats on the BACK of the helmet? (I always check)
6. is there any colour the rider is wearing other than black?
7. are the mirrors angled for personal grooming, or for the traffic behind?
8. pisspot helmet or regular helmet check?
9. how many times can I spot the word 'Harley' NOT on the bike itself?
10. finally, I try and estimate how many cows he/she is wearing :)  :imaposer:

A strange parallel: Mountainbikers have the exact same sense of bewilderment when a well-greeted roadie sweeps past with nary a flicker of emotion...............

Hoe wil jy nou he n BMW ryer moet groet as hy sy balaans wil probeer hou as hulle die heeltyd staan :deal:
As hulle staan en knosentreer, kan hulle nie nog opkyk en dan nog n hand van die handelbars afhaal en ook nog groet nie! :imaposer:
Ek het al gewonder of as BMW nie die bike met n sitplek verkoop nie, of die prys dan in n beter klas sal wees nie?? :peepwall:
BMW ryer gebruik nooit daai opgestopte oorgetrekte spons nie

Okay nou dat ek julle het.....was by Country Trax gewees.... Standup, look Up and open Up :thumleft:

Nou groet net verdomped! :thumleft:

A BMW rider who does not greet is merely a poser who don't know how to keep the bike rubber side down with one hand on the throttle...I also hate this type of people, and it go's for every brand
