That must be one of the most beatifull roads in South Africa! Did it in December 2012.

I would say this is Botha's Pass in KZN between Newcastle and Memel...

Nah, it was somewhere around the Underberg area.... Was meandering to Sterkfontein from Port Edward sticking to all the small backroads on that trip...but on the exact spot....anybody's guess  :biggrin:

Sadly I don't think there is a stretch of tar that long & in that good condition on the WHOLE NCastle/Memel/Vrede road these days. That is sadly one scary bad stretch of (mostly) tar. :-\
