this board is for extended trips that you did that was longer than a month or when you took your mid life gap-year, and spend your time riding.

How is it that you have to be lock in with your pin code in order to see the Long Tours site where you can see the rest of the Wilddog sites without being locked in ?

Hi all!

Great to be running with the wild dogs!

I'm busy planning a 2 month trip to Uganda, planning to leave at the end of September.  Thanks for all the initiatives, tips and reports going around, I'll spend some time reading up on all the reports out here and share my bit when the time comes.

My long trip was in 1994  - my cousin (Roadcat) and I took 2 second hand XT500's that we had re-built and rode:

Jhb - CT - Aghulas - PE - Jhb - Beit Bridge - Kariba(Zim) - Lusaka(Zambia) - Liliongwe(Malawi) - up the lake - Mbeya(Tanzania) - Dar Es Salaam - Tanga - Arusha - Nairobi(Kenya) - Isiolo - around Mt. Kenya

Then followed a similar route south exept we went from Blantyre in Malawi, through Tete(mozambique) to Harare and back to Jhb

Took us 10 months!
