Which dog is into plastic bikes that can help me where to get stuff in western cape?
I bought a "fooked" '92 kx over the phone.. But when it arrived I realized she is all still original!! Plastics and seat look great. But clearly bearings are worn and feels "loose". I was gonna just ride it as is, but after getting adventurous with her over small hills it hit me that she might have a failure and hurt me.
Paid 6 grand for her and don't mind spending another few thousand to make her lekker!
The only real thing that looks bad is the gezorst pipe.
Wanted to buy her new 2010 plastics but the classic look is awesome??!!
Another thing is obviously whether or not I should replace inside engine parts? She starts first time everytime and runs great. Scares 7 types of shit out of me and IMHO I don't need any more power out of a weekend bike.
Anyone that have done a plastic rebuild? Should I?
Worn bits seem to be wheel bearings and swingArm joints.
Hoping for some guidance!
