Well it started here - https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=56011.0

The Badger arranged some guys to ride to the Richmond National enduro with enduro cross section and then do some dirt from there.

Myself, Riaan1200GS, The Badger & Mrs and Gunda Gunda would meet at Shongweni and slab it on tar to Richmond to see the start of the race.

It was an early and bit rainy start for us in Toti and we arrived at the meeting point a bit early ........time to fill up and get some coffee.

At around 06.00 Gunda joined us and we all got to know each other over another cuppa.

Was just wandering what had happened to The Badgers, when they arrived in the all new 4 wheel Adventure Volvo  - seems some technical issues prevented them from coming with the bike - hope is is sorted out now Badger ?

Gunda was nominated as leader and we set off on tar for the race start ...........

Nice highway riding and then on the back roads - rain again, so slow going. Arrived at the race and went in search of coffee - again - 8C being seen on the temp gauges on route - so a chilly day.

Watched the race start and the leaders coming in for the 2nd loop, before we decided to go check out some spectator points.

(Story on Enduro with pics here .............. https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=56227.0;topicseen )

Found a crossing where the riders went through the valley and up again - had a famous Gunda cuppachino and decided on a route back home - Gunda mentioned the Hella Hella pass and we said fine.

Had a great ride over the pass up to Qunu Falls - the falls being but a trickle in anticipation of the great rains to come.

Gunda proved to be a very knowledgeable "route captain" and we had a great time.

From there passed through some more forest roads and fast gravel, till we hit the Ixopo tar and from there it was back to the N2 and home.

Said goodbye to Gunda at the N2 as he carried on to the R102 coastal road for a leisurely cruise home and we were in the mood to stretch the legs of the GS's a bit.

Great day out and did around 350 kms for the day with about a 1/3 of that at least being dirt.

Some pics ..............and sure Gunda have lots more
