After ripping of my bash plate at the bosvark bash, I had it refitted, but all the new rubbers cost me around R520, excluding my own time for fitting them.
Then this weekend I ran into a bashplate, locally manufactured, and at that price, I just had to get me one. :deal:
It wraps around my header pipes more than the touratech IMHO, and it also covers the Cat Pipe. :thumleft: and it covers the sides of the pipes well, including all sensors.
Also comes with an easy to install bracket to carry the load @ the back of the plate.
Photo 1: The new plate.
Photo 2: First mod I am planning before fitting, is to countersink the bottom holes, and replace with new countersunk screw heads.
Photo 3: Aluminium seems 5/6mm thick and sturdy as hell. Very well built. :mwink:
Photo 4: Me with my torn of bashplate at Bosvark Bash, before replacing all the rubbers etc. Much smaller.
Photo 5: Shamelesly stolen of the net, Here is how the new plate will wrap around the header pipes. Groovy baby yeah!
