Nee hel, ek weet Afrika is nie vir sissies nie maar sou ek in daai situasie wees en slang se kind steek sy kop uit terwyl ek ry was ek onmirreforkenlik bo van daai fiets af.....en het ek myself heeltemal in n ander era ingeskrik sou waarskynlik nog voor Alec Patterson en sy kruiwa op Pelgrimsrus aangeland het teen die spoed wat ek sou beweeg.

However looking at the photo of that it snake it looks alot like a harmless Bush snake (greenlike a Boomslang but with black spots on the back of the head and body). Either way well done in getting it out.

Baie lekker RR en mooi fotos!  :thumleft: ek wonder of ek nie tog van nou af net so vinnige scan gaan doen voor ek weer op die bike klim na hy so rukkie in die bos gepark was nie. Grootste phobia wat skielik verskyn van onder terwyl jy bike ry  :o ek abandon ship on the spot! Iemand anders wat ek ken het selfde tipe probleem in Cederberg gehad - pofadder in voorwiel se speke - en daai goed is LUI! baie goeie negotiation skill gevat om hom uit te kry.

demmit- hy was definitief meer as 3 meter lank en daai oog lyk omtrent so groot soos 'n langspeelplaat!

Had a good giggle.  And does look like a grass snake, I'm glad you didn't kill it.  I caught a Poffadder by mistake once... needless to say I threw it very far away very quickly!

Just goes to show, we still live in Africa!

Louis, ek kan sien jy ken slange en soos ek, is jy nie iemand wat maklik oordryf nie. Nou moet ons nog net vir Chrissie oortuig dit was nie 'n onskuldige gras-slangetjie nie.
