We have been training and prepping our bikes for weeks now and was looking forward to rounds 1 and 2 of our local Desert X racing series. The race distance would be about 210 km's for each day. It was scheduled for this Friday and Saturday (29 & 30 October), however, it was cancelled due to the death of HH Sheikh Saqr Al Qassimi, ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and the minister of sport has cancelled all sporting events for the next five days.

Now what bugs me is that even that the event has been cancelled people will still go out riding and having fun. Sport has been cancelled but not work..........? WTF
Courtesy from Grizz: In this day and age religion is often frowned upon, but I have met some of the most amazing people from various religions over time.
From Buddhists to Sikhs, through Muslims and Christians and everything in between, there are many good people out there and if you do not allow yourself to be swayed by petulant religious opinion, the world is an awesome place with the odd idiot in between trying to make it rubbish for others.

Sorry to read this - agreed, doesn't make sense
There is nothing you can do about the past and you can't predict the future...all you have is the now...live it to the fullest.
