Hi all, my name is Chris and I'm from Pretoria and ride a F650GS which I bought in August last year after not riding a bike for about 15 years. I blame my brother for the purchase because he mentioned buying a bike and I thought I'd be jealous if he had one and I didn't.

I have really been enjoying the bike and after riding a few dirt roads I'm beginning to understand the appeal of dirt over tar. I must say that I'm glad I didn't buy a road bike because now I have the best of both works with tar and dirt. I did the BMW Beginners Off-road Course a few weeks ago and now I'm planning to improve my skills because I'm still nervous on dirt, especially with fast corners and braking.
