we once got caught in this rain storm in Namibia turned the roads to rivers in seconds and was the wettest i ever got in a long time...needless to say i wasnt popular with the missus as i told her to leave rain suit at home as we going to the desert

I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy
Nothing clears the head like a throttle twisted and the fresh air on the tip of the nose

Mother, what's the story of that old farmhouse on the Khomas Hoghland road?? Seems enourmous for just a farmhouse, and the old drill rig on the Terrace Bay road??

After seeing some of the stunning pictures in this thread I browsed through my collection and came across this "classic"
Not a very good picture - (mind you it was taken in 198?? with a Kodak Instamatic)

"Vinger van God" (as it was known) was a sandstone rock formation that succumbed to forces of nature late in 1988.
Located near Keetmanshoop, it was a popular tourist attraction of the time.
I am sure the Namibia dogs can tell us more about the history of the place
