Milkmans DRZ 400 ( Please Help )
« on: November 13, 2010, 01:27:55 pm »
I am looking for a magneto coil for a Suzuki DRZ 400. Is there anywhere else where I can find one besides the agents? Or does anyone know of secondhand spares available?

In 2008 my sons DRZ had its stator coil destroyed by a loose bolt.
We ended up importing a coil from
http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/common/Frontpage.jsp
at half the price of a new Suzuki unit.

That is exactly what happened to mine ,except that all 5 bolts broke clean off. You can imagine what my coil looks like!!! :dousing: It's totally stuffed , including the housing that the coil is wound around. Thanks for the tip. I will defiantly check out the link!

Potential problem on a DRZ, anyone with a Z just take a couple of minutes and check all the recommendations. Thumpertalk has a wealth of info on DRZ's that will save you lots of money in the long run.
