What's the chances of buying an old remote staion & turning it into a backpackers for offroad bikers....?

Pete the place you looking for is Draghoender.  had a very nice hotel.... if I am correct its almost like a saloon style hotel

There are a few such places over the country - mostly pubs and restaurants.
Spoornet will consider applications.

Wolwehoek, Free State.

I absolutely love the old sandstone buildings of the Free State. Wish I could carry this away and rebuild on our plot in Memel - would be a brilliant cottage!

The last pic is of the inside...    :'(

I may possibly have a connection to buy one of these buildings together with 4 hectares of land in the Langkloof.
Its already privatized (not belong to Trashnet Transnet anymore).
Ill see if I can dig up some pics.
Problem is that, after buying, you'd need to dump another 500k to make it into something.
