Sweet, finally found the tracking number for my KLR parts from Dual-Star, they show they are in Halfway House post office, I must go and collect.
Will do today, pay the R750 duties and I think tomorrow will be spent with spanners and torque wrench!
Woohoo!

Sharky

What did you order? Is it possible to give landed costs for the different items?

And I can finish my 10000 service now, the magnetic drain plug is part of this order.
Didnt want to do oil swap till the plug arrived, that would mean doing it again.

Thanks, very much appreciated. I'm definitely eyeing some of those parts, especially the radiator protector.

The shipping was $80, and I think it would have been close to that if I ordered one thing.
So the more the better.

Maybe get a few people together and bulk order to save that way.

Next on my list is the large plastic tank from IMS.
I want the red one, it doesnt have a locking cap, thats the only negative.
But it gives an extra 5L capacity, and does away with the little tank fairing bits.

After that its a good rack system, overnight trips is all I'm ok with at this point, with racks I can carry a weeks stuff.

East London, haha.
This took quite a while to arrive here aswell, well it took a long time for the order to be complete and shipped. They seem to make brackets in batches.
I ordered in November! And only getting now. The order was invoiced and shipped on the 9th of this month.
At R6.02/$1 rate  ;o), better than what it was in November.

Good for u Sharkman

May I suggest 170mm or 400ml of 10w forkoil with 60mm spacers work well.  Look out for the thread of the caps - very fine.  I was 5 kgs ago 95kgs  :D  - I don't use the 'ton' word.

As for the racks - we must get together so I can show the Dirtbagz racks - light, cheap and work well.

My thinking is - if you plan to fit alu panniers in future - get the decent racks from Fred, DS and kie.  You can get the Dirtbagz in the meanwhile ($130 - bags only) to use.  Dirtbagz with racks are about $230 and the decent racks about $230 too.

Cheers
Hein

Like the brake bracket and guards! Looks like nice quality stuff. Also Dual Star make heated grips, which are well spoken of.

Nice stuff Shark.....will probably want to order some stuff, as well as
the doohickey sometime, but perhaps I'll wait for others to order, then we can do it together.

LITO, I thought you were a toughie! What do you want with heated grips
in Africa  :?
