Pack Dog
One of the guys on the Woema forum mentioned the Wolwehoek gravel highway. Having grown up in the Vaal I decided to go and have a look see, while having a quick stop over near Koppies at farm of some family friends.
Early morning. I left home at 05:30 as there was some tar to be covered between Johannesburg and Sasolburg.
I had my first decent stop just after turning off at Wolwehoek. Nice open roads here.
On the line....
Just look at how flat the Free State can be, PLAT man, PLAT!
After stopping here I let rip, trying to get to the farm before 8:30. Unfortunately the friends met me on the road on their way to church. Had a stop at the entrance to the farm though for a quick sarmie, Coke and smoke.
Absolutely NOTHING in all directions!!!
Did my first bit of jeep (or is it Isuzu) track. FUN!
After this the road spit me out at Wolwehoek again, and unfortunately my day was over.
