All lads and lasses with pics and videos of the trip.
If you put them on a DVD and make arrangements to get them to me,
I'll copy all the others and each person will get back a complete set of all the photos and videos.

If you're keen PM me your email address and cell number and I'll get hold of you.

We’ve started the Saturday morning at 05:30 in Port Elizabeth, and arrived at Doornkloof from 13:30 – 14:30. After the dip in the dam for some of the guys and gal, we formed a circle and kuiered the afternoon away.

Most of the tents were already pitched

A lone monster amongst the beasts

And the kuier continued ( Clockwise from the neatest oke its Crab, KTMaddict, 214, Tyger, Thump, Bennett, KV, Stealth Creeper, J-dog, Paulsky, EDP.

.....and continued  EDP, M-man, JN, Cacher, Ray.

......and continued

M-man’s damage. The double track roads were treacherous. The middleman was completely grown over by grass, so you had to either ride in the left or right spoor. The recent rain in the area caused the grass to grow thick on the edges of the road obstructing obstacles directly next to the road which made it difficult for the boxer enjins.

This was my highlight of the weekend, for sure. A GSA, with panniers and top box, fully laden and it went up like it was a highway. (Maybe it’s because of his choice of tents.)
Well done Mr. Nel.

Sunset crept in fast and what better than to sit around a kuiervuur. This is where I was forced at knifepoint to switch off the camera.

A lazy Sunday morning where some were still sleeping while others were already up and running.

The now famous kettle with its battle scars from the previous side entry attempt.

J-Dog and Stealth Creeper’s den with the beautiful sun laden mountains in the background.

Crab, Thump, 214 and Tyger having their morning coffee while Cacher is packing up in the back ground.

Cacher trying to get the air out of his mattress.

KV, Bennet and Paulsky having their Coffee and rusks. Wonder when KV is going to join the pack? Nice Chap.

Sunrise with a lil special effect.

Group photo, without Thump, he was doing his own thing again.
From Left to right

Bennet, J-dog, Cacher, KV, Paulsky, JN, EDP, M-man, KTMaddict, 214, Tyger and Crab. Missing Thump, Stealth Creeper and myself. Ray is hiding behind 214.

Some photos of drained Smitskraal. Sounds like there’s a chance that we might get our famous Smitskraal water back. ( http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/index.php?topic=60546.20 )

The strange thing about this trip was that I’ve organised this trip and only have met one of the pack. The rest I’ve met at “The Smelly Dutchman”. I’ve met Bennett two weeks before and I’ve done business with KV for the last four years without even meeting him.

It just goes to show, even if you don’t know each other, the Wild Dog camaraderie is automatic there.  I must say that it was an awesome experience, and I’m of the opinion that we have to make this a yearly event.

The annual Baviaans Side Entry Bash or something.

Congratulations to everybody. You’ve made it over those mountains without any major hiccups. I salute you.  Many thanks for a great weekend.

I’m still waiting for all the photos and videos to be posted.

Come on, Bennett, EDP, and the rest. Where are your photos and video’s? :thumleft:

Looks like fun was had by all. From starting to plan the ride with J-mo to not riding due to change of plans seemed strange, will have to make it next year.
