JourneyMan
Bachelor Dog
Thank you for those joining on the trip.
Funacide, Grootseun, Ou Ryperd, Zerc, Tulip, Noble Steed, Slide, Spyker, Zonkelnut, Plothond, Ryno (Jags-something on the forum. You can post something now.)
Waiting.
My back pack for the day.
Special thanks to Plothond and the missus for coming over to have a beer. His bike searching for SWMBO meant he could not make the start. Much appreciated. He and Jags-something did join us at Cullinan.
The day started out great and despite promising signs of overnight rain, I did not get my wish for some mud.
Instead, fellow dogs ate my dust!
The whole trip was Level 1 with the occasional Level 2 conditions present.
Some pics of road conditions. Easy dirt with the leaders clocking high speeds.
I decided to take some pics at this T-junction.
Dogs coming through.
Slide concentrating on the photo opportunity instead of the road.
End result. ?Sliding? right through the T-Junction and just stopping before the fence.
Smoke break.
"Broken-in" GS from the Noob Run From Hell. Black looks good!
From there to the ?dump?.
No pics from me from the dump. Lumpy dirt.
Onwards towards Cullinan in search of refreshments. Dusty conditions resulted in parchy throats.
My camera could not take it anymore and baulked at taking another pic of the abomination of Funacide on the KTM!
The crowd enjoying some refreshments and talking bike and forum stuff.
From Cullinan we decided to forgo the original dirt plan and take dirt along the railway line to the quarry.
The approach to the quarrie. A sandy ridge causing some problems. The first through created good soft sand for the rest to follow!
Coming through.
Grootseun having some problems.
Noble Steed down.
Spyker
Ryno
Ryperd
Those that wanted went down into the quarrie and played around.
Zonkel getting some help.
Funacide lining up.
There was this one very sandy exit. Ryperd attemted first but got stuck. Second attempt succesfull! Good riding!
I attempted and also approached too slow. Got stuck and struggled getting out.
Second attempt I made it only to celebrate too windgat and dropping the bike. Broken indicator lense.
Then everyone off to their own end destinations.
Me, Plothond, Spyker and Jags-something went to Riverside for a few drinks. Thanks guys! Even though I thought the bill was a bit steep!
Plothond did his first ride on a MX bike and he was very chuffed with the experience. Bike courtesy of Extreme Elements.
Once again thanks to those that joined. It is always good to meet up with fellow members and getting to know new faces. 8)
Not a particularly difficult ride but good to be out on the dirt and do some playing. Maybe a more apt Noob ride.
