My son & I are riding offroad down in Balfour this coming weekend. We're both on plastic MX bikes - nowhere to carry a jerry can.
His KX65 has a 3,5 litre fuel tank - good for around 25 to 30km's.
I'm thinking as an emergency fuel container I could use a 2 litre coke bottle filled with pre-mix for his bike. Top his bike up at around the halfway mark & we should have enough to get us back to the starting point or close enough that to fetch extra fuel won't delay us too long.
I'll have to carry it in a backpack as there is no way to secure it to my bike - just have to make sure I don't fall on my back I guess! :laughing4:
