Cederberg ( Map attached)
« on: December 31, 2010, 08:03:18 pm »
Camelman sms me with and invite to come and ride in the Cederberg with him.
So Thursday morning , 05h30 and we are off , made my way up the N7 to Citrusdal , then onto the dirt next to the river , which eventually becomes the Clanwilliam Dam.
The roads aren't in a very good condition due to the heavy rain some weeks back.

New Years Gremlin , my report just vanished ???

And I dont have time to redo it !
After refueling at Cllanwilliam , I had a quick B/fast and called Camelman and we arranged a meeting on the backroad to Bulshoek Dam.
Camelman explained some of the road conditions and a small river crossing.
The small river crossing is what worried me , small for Camelman isn't normally small for for the rest of us !

But obviously , I let him go first and I followed closely.

Just through the river to the left was a shop and that was Trawal , small town !

Trawal

It was a short ride to Rondeberg Rusoord ( Bulshoek Dam ) , a quick hello , my name is Andy , with Camelmans inlaws and we were back on the bikes to return at 16h30

Thanks for coming along Andy! After riding for 4 days on my own, it was nice to have a companion.

Sorry about all the sand, who would have known! lol  ;D

Its impossible, said pride. Its risky, said experience.

Its pointless, said reason. Give it a try, whispered the heart.
