Too late for that! I'm a frequent lurker there... But I'm still undecided on getting the SE, or keeping my XT and adding a WR450F to the stable. I'm dying to try my hand at some amateur enduro racing..  8)

Boys, me thinks those wobbly bits be false. I have never ever seen any wobbly bits that look like that, and are real. And as you may or may not know, the wobbly bits are on prominent display here during the summer months.  :D And it will soon be hot enough for them to start making appearances.  8)

You will have more fun on a WR, at least there are races you can enter, riding a SE is all pose, the real thing is doing an enduro where other guys show you how kak you are.

In spykers context, its valid.
If he wants to pose, get the SE, if he wants to improve his riding and make his ability known, get a WR450.
Enduros show the real ability, no posing will get you through.

Choose your words a bit more carefully then.

  And why could his riding not improve riding a SE? It is all about application, and having the right tools. The SE is not the right bike for tight, technical slow stuff. But for following trails, riding dirt roads, riding tar roads, commuting, and if you insist, for posing, it will knock the shocks off the WR450. The SE is damn fine all-round machine. It would make a good replacement for his current bike. But if he wants to do enduros, nope. Not the right choice.

True. You need to be able to ride to get through an enduro. Posing will just leave you in the pits.

I know I'm kak sleg, don't need other riders to point it out to me! :D
And, KTM spares are not the cheapest on the planet, and Yamaha is very reliable getting spares. I've always had my spares the next day, except for the wrong f%$kken sprocket yesterday!

Besides, I like servicing my bikes myself. I like tinkering and I can't do that to a $$$$ KTM in fear of invalidating the warranty. All Yamaha racing bikes does not have a warranty. You break it, you fix it! :D
