Flexible scooter. Normal?
« on: January 21, 2011, 08:44:05 am »
My 'lill Jonway scooter flex a wee bit.

I am not a scooter boffin and would like comments

I weight in at 100kg before my morning dump. So when I brake front the footboard (the area where one put his feet) flex upwards. When using the rear if flex downwards.

I have no idea if its normal. I estimate the movement is around 15 to 25 mm

Sounds like play on the neck bearings
Better to have it and not need it , than to need it and not have it

Take it up to Jonway to check out. They are in Lazer Park, just around the corner from you.

Just before Santinis on the other side of the road.

From your place, come past my place (Florin), down to the robot, turn right into Nic Diedricks, up to next robot (Honeydew shopping centre and Sasol opposite), at robot turn left, drive down to t-junction, turn right, drive through the dip and you are in Lazer Park. After the dip turn right into the only business park. Once in the park turn left and drive up to the top Jonway is on left. CEO is Frans and FEO is Dougie, but ask someone in the workshop to check it out quickly.
