Buyers advice please. XT660X Motard

My neighbour is looking at a XT660X – 2007 with 18 400km on the clock for R39 000. I am not  familiar with this bike. Please help this guy, Is this a ye or a ne to buy?

Seems like a reasonable buy, difficult to say without seeing the bike though.

Nice road bike, looks good as well, there is one by my work. And that price is good!!

Thanks buff. Al he need is general comment whether the XT engine is normally reliable and whether it is solid bike.

Its a solid and proven motor as long as it has been serviced correctly. Andy660 sold his on 74000kms so no worries there.
