Driving on the N1 from Pretoria I was hit with a very sad sight - a biker knocked down, laying facing up with a whole swarm of paramedics stabilizing him. Every time I see this my heart shrink and I think, if only motorists can be made more aware...
THEN, just a few kms on, still thinking about this poor guy, I see some bikes parked up on a bridge just before Samrand. First though - another accident! Looking up, saw about 5 or 6 guys (and ladies) holding a massive ThinkBike banner (Very bright with the usual yellow trim!)which reads:
THINK BIKE BEFORE MAKING A U-TURN!
Wow. Thanks for taking your time to educate the public - I was very moves by this. There must have been thousands of people reading that banner - I looked around and saw everyone around me looking up to read it!
