Is a straight swop 1200GSA to 990 Adv a good deal?
« on: February 08, 2011, 04:46:05 pm »
I can swop my BMW 2007 GSA (20,000Km) for a KTM 2009 990 Adventure (less then 3000km's on the clock).
I am happy with the GSA, it would purely be a so that I have a new ride.
This would basically be a straight swop. What do you think, is this a good deal?

i'd make that swap  - newer bike, MUCH less mileage. only thing you'll regret is the fuel capacity drop
edit - don't listen to me - i know nothing of bike prices etc  ;)
BMW F650 DAKAR ; BMW 650 X-Challenge ; YAMAHA 660 TENERE ; BMW 800 GS KTM 200EXC. Now - KTM 950 Adventure S, KTM 250 XC-W and BMW 450 Rally

if u are interested in something no matter what it is, go at it full speed ahead, luke warm is no good, hot is no good either, white hot and passionate is the only thing to be...

It's about a compromise on both sides and a different mindset for both to adjust to. It's a good deal allround...don't get hung up about a few bucks here & there...look at the convenience & get yourselves behind some different bars... :thumleft:

Go for it - make sure they include all the lots of tools you will use to fix the KTM on trips.
