I've still got the X-Challenge. I am thinking of selling it as well as I just don't get enough time to ride it.
There are still a couple of months warranty on the KTM. I am going to take it on a test ride this afternoon

Lekker - let us have some feedback on that ride. I took a new 990 for a whirl this morning.... :thumleft:

Nice. When are you getting it? ;)
I took the 990 for a quick spin this afternoon and it is in emmaculate condition. I think I am going to make the change.
I leave for Sani tomorrow and there is a guy on a 990 joining us. I will try take his  on an extended ride just to make sure that I know what I am in for. We must organise to go for a ride again sometime. :thumleft:

the smile says it all.......  ;D I spent almost three days "avoiding" the test ride because I knew it could/would have very expensive consequences....

The more bike sthe better. Only people that do hectic brand bashing is those that haven't use dtheirs enough to get it to break ...

It all depends on the type of riding that you want to do. They are both exceptionally good bikes and you should be happy with either one. The KTM is more of an Adventure bike than the BMW, and I am certainly leaning towards that as my next bike. The BMW is a fantastic bike on the hard stuff, but is quite challenging on the more "technical" surfaces - and in soft sand, "dis amper asof jy met 'n buffel rofstooi" - quote from a buddy of mine who has a BMW and loves it.

I would be interested to hear your comments once you have done the swop and once you have lived with the KTM for a short while. One of the KTM's drawbacks is its fuel capacity, but in my opinion, the KTM is overall more fun to ride than the BMW.

A hard decision, but one that I am sure you will be happy with - whichever way you go.

Have a great Sani trip
