2011 EC Regional Wild Dog Bash – Official Thread
A EC regional bash will be held on the weekend of 13, 14 and 15 of May 2011.
Venue: Baviaans Lodge 33° 45' 52.3" S 24° 06' 06.5" E
Situated in an indigenous tree filled valley as it enters the Kouga Mountains from the south, all forming part of the Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area. The venue is approximately 42km by road from the nearest town, namely Kareedouw.
We will utilise a stunning camp-site next to a small stream.

Disclaimer: Dual-sport motorcycling inherently involves dangerous
activities. Anyone who submits their name for inclusion on the
Official Attendance List, and subsequently attends the Bash, do so
voluntary and acknowledge that they accept the risks as their own
free choice.

Some important relevant information
Note: Although May is not quite yet the middle of winter, it would be advisable to bring sufficient warm clothes.
It is a request from the owner that persons attending the Bash must please respect the environment and endeavour not harm the it in any way.

- I will also maintain the first few posts on the thread so that all updated info can be obtained there. For example, the participation list as the second entry to this thread.

Some important relevant information
- Nearest medical doctor – Kareedouw. Approximately 42 Km by gravel road
- Nearest hospital – Kareedouw. Tel. 042-2880210 Ambulance 10177, if no repy: 042-2880573
- Nearest fuel - Kareedouw.
- Nearest shops - Kareedouw.
- A 4x4 bakkie and trailer will be on-site as support/recovery vehicle.
- Outride routes in the form of 4x4 trails are provide. Note: These routes will be available for use at own risk - more info will be provided on-site by owner.
- There is no cell phone reception.
- In case of emercencies only, a land line is avalable at the lodge - 042 288 0557.
- It is a camping get-together - so please bring own tent and sleeping gear
- Please bring your bring your own eating tools and a mug.
- You will be able to buy fuel (300 litres will be available) at the venue - to be sold in 5l units @ slightly inflated price to cover costs.
