I've had it for 35 years and still commute on it twice a week.

I would not commute with it being too scared something might happen!! :o :drif:

I love the RebelX kits but that SC exhaust hanging from that salad spoon just looks kak and a real weakness aesthetically and practically.  ::)
Eloquently put!....  :ricky:...
Personally I think the 790 is butt ugly... Wet dream?...nah!...rather a muddy nightmare!
I live in my own world...

Yes, that 'Zorst bracket looks SO afterthought-ish. Besides that, I think that 790 looks rather nice.

The 790 to me is like the Mitsubishi Triton was when it came out. Dog ugly bakkies when they came out, now I would buy one. :thumleft:
Same with the 790, I now like the look of them if I miss the headlight.

Is there any logic in turning a 1200LT into a custom bobber. I know it does not make any sense financially, but that bobber just looks so flippen cool. :drif: :drif:

I would say if you not using the original as intended, you can chop it. Must say the bobber is cool AF!!

I went to the London Motorcycle Show in 2018. It took us two hours to walk through once and another two to go back and take a few pictures. Here’s a few I liked for being different. There were many more but I lost it during a data transfer.

This is made to order...

If that LT had an "off" on tar and scratched enough body panels, insurance would have written it off due to cost of replacing the outside.
Buy up the mechanically sound engine, frame etc and it would absolutely make economic sense to bob it.

It does look good !
