Sun City for breakfast on Sunday morning. Life has its little pleasures! Was joined by Michael. To beat the heat we left Pinehaven Sasol in Muldersdrift at 6:00am.

A short section on tar to Tarton and then onto dirt. Our highway and we were not shy to keep a good pace – comfortable and at a rhythm as we had 400kms to cover.

Roads quite and the countryside beautiful - numerous herds of cattle to view. The odd donkey in the road to slow down around. Surprised some Water hogs and a buck as well. Enjoyed the pleasure of passing a field of Sunflowers following the rising sun.

Stopped three times for fuel as the bikes range is only 200km. Local town service stations have a character of their own and unrushed.

The highlight of the trip was a section after Koster through some hills which I flowed down as if one on a rollercoaster. Oneself, the bike and an open road - pure heaven.

Sun City was its usual welcoming self and put on a magnificent buffet breakfast at Cabanas - stuffed myself would be an understatement.

The trip back took us through Marikana on some super dirt highways - almost reach takeoff velocity. Mind blowing with a total assault on one’s senses. Feeling alive comes to mind.

Before the end we went over Breedt’s Neck which is rocky and takes some effort to keep the rubber side down.

As the ride was to end Michael met some friends and we extended our days activities to lunch at Auto Cradle.

Great days riding and ending with great friends - what a magnificent day.
