Runner --he uses it for trips to put ears on the 690KTM's

Beserker --he has no option - he needs it for the thick sand

Brakenjan -- mmm because he has the bucks  :peepwall:

Wostersous -- maybe he can fill me in on what he uses his for --

Hey Guys,
Yes i have an XR650R , and i love it to bits, i use it daily for commuting to work & on the weekends to play with. I bought it from Pistonclap ( Chris ), i have been doing a little work on it to get it as close as possible back to standard. No happy button, & i am a bit of a "Ballie" but i enjoy its performance, enjoy the ride to & from work each day. Based in Brackenfell.

I met TopBox in 2007 when he had an XR650.

He still does.

I know Tim from TMC in Cape Town CBD rides XR650s, he has both an L and an R, and is a HUGE lurker on this forum. Not sure if that counts though?
I crash test all of my safety gear. Do you?

Now now........play nice Blazes........   :patch:

Guys, we all know where this thread is heading: all the Zaar guys will put their hands up, only to be followed by a schpiel from Blazes on why a Husky is a better bike. So please spare us the suspense and just gooi the usual Husky drivel Blazes. Or perhaps take a refreshing approach and let us Zaar lovers be? If we all say that we like Huskies, will that make you leave us alone?

OK, yes I got one.
Don't know about being a "REAL XR rider", but I use mine for comfortable, long distance, solo trips.
 - and I got one because happy buttons make me sad!

THERE! snare poked, now we wait...  ;D

The three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer.  If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.  If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.  Otherwise use the hammer.

I owned  a 1982 XR500R..... loved it to bits, except for the kak front drum brakes... used to give me many religious moments when trying to slow down!! It's still going, and the new owner won't sell it for love or money :thumleft:

Actually not --just trying to see how many are on the forum and not have a XR650R in there Avatar and claim to own them --that's where i am heading --so relax --hehe

Going to try and figure out how many Husky riders are on the Forum as well as i have a lot of pm's from some that are very low profile  ???
