Not really a ride report, more of a road condition report as i went up Sani this weekend in "Big Dave"
The wife and i celebrated our anniversary by spending the long weekend in Underberg. Sunday we took a little drive up Sani.
The first section (15km) is marbles all the way to the hotel..
I am pretty sure the last time i went up on the bike, around 2009, the road looked the same. Not sure if they are actually doing anything here :
The it gets better to the way i know Sani. Loose rocks, tight corners, bumpy, etc
There is one section that is hectic boulders and loose rocks for abut 50m, that was the major stuff!
Other than that the pass is in great DS condition.
The wife managed extremely well and got us safely to the top and back down again. :biggrin:
Moral of the story...
If you going soon or plan to go or are thinking about going, the road is great and perfect for DS biking. :thumleft:
