Woke up to go riding onlt to find a three inch rusty nail, through the tread and out the side wall. I rode down to BMW and thought I was in for a new rear tyre at R 1000. we pulled the nail out and ' no air ' escaping. checked it with water, seemed ok. Looks like it was only through the rubber. feeling very lucky , i went on a ride. only now, i am wondering if this has caused a weak spot on the tyre. I can only imaging that it missed going into the 'air side' by a few millimetres. any thoughts ? cheers :idea:
